Weather Stripping

Weather stripping is a product that ensures openings of all kinds are sealed and protected from severe forces of nature such as rain, hail, sleet, snow or any other form of moisture. Weather stripping is typically applied to openings on buildings or equipment, such as doors, windows, trunks, hatches etc. Weather stripping returns or reroutes moisture, which prevents moisture leakage and keeps inside air in which results in heating and air conditioning energy savings.

According to the building code regulations of various Ontario jurisdictions, every residential, industrial or commercial property exterior door, or interior doors leading to an uninsulated room such as an attic or cellar, must have weather stripping applied to it. A.J. Rubber & Sponge Ltd. has supplied construction companies, door manufacturers and general contractors with in-house weather stripping services for more than 50 years. We have the capability to produce custom weather stripping with a number of variable factors including weather stripping thickness, weather stripping width and weather stripping length.
