A.J. Rubber & Sponge Ltd. is owned and operated by the brother and sister team of John and Andrea Mathew. John and Andrea both possess strong senses of community, and believe in helping others learn and advance by volunteering their time and efforts to a variety of youth sports teams in and around Hamilton, Ontario. They also work with a group of devoted engineering undergraduate students who form McMaster University's Baja Racing Team. They compete regularly in in the SAE Baja Series, a collegiate off-road vehicle competition that simulates real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. In the alternative health community, Andrea Mathew is well-known as an international yoga and Ayurveda teacher, and the founder and owner of Riya Yoga. She's also a certified reiki master, Thai yoga massage practitioner, children's author and professionally trained musician.
